Hike to Mt. Holyoke

We took the M-M trail up and the dry brook trail down the mountain which I thought was a good combination for beginners. The M-M trail was steep and tiring with occasional rocky patches which were challenging for a novice hiker like me. The dry brook trail was an easy but long one. All in all, it was an excellent way to spend a late summer Saturday. 🙂
Beginning of the M-M trail
Met this little one on the way to the top, I think it is the Hickory Tussock Moth caterpillar
Spotted a milipede (I think they curl up when they sense danger)
View from the rest area at the top
The dry brook trail down the hill
The brook wasn’t that dry after all (Warning : This trail has some perfect breeding grounds for insects)
Any help identifying what kind of mushroom this is.
Chicken Mushroom (I had no idea this is an edible mushroom, there were tons of these growing along the trail)
