“Bathtub Rings” along the colorado river near Hoover Dam.

The white along the banks,Β  from minerals deposited by the river, shows what the level of water used to be. Every year the water level drops even further exposing more of the white mineral deposits. This white line is a reminder as to how much “time” has passed since we took more than we could return to this amazing river that makes its way through the rocky terrain and barren deserts and is the primary source of water and power for the several towns and cities in Nevada and Arizona.
